Kink and BDSM often deal in taboos and reveal the complexities of human desire and our avenues for pleasure and release. But kink doesn’t happen in a vacuum (unless you’re into that) and the power systems that shape our lives shape our desires too. Let’s ditch shame and talk about thinking critically about our kinks.

We talk often about ending the culture of violence that our society is built on—intimate partner violence, family violence, sexual violence, systemic violence, but we cannot rip something out of our foundation without replacing it. Ending a culture of violence means embracing vulnerability and that is the pathway to pleasure and intimacy. Let’s dream this world together.
